Emily Bunney, BSc

Head Trainer & Behaviourist

Hi, I’m Emily Bunney, owner and operator of The Barking Bunney. After many years of working with shelter, rescue, breeding, and boarding dogs, I decided to follow my dream and start my own behaviour consulting and training business!

I grew up in a small town called Kingsville, but have called London area home for the last twelve years. I attended Western University and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour, and a Post-Degree Diploma in Not-for-Profit Management. Working alongside shelter dogs with serious behaviour concerns, ignited a fire in me to find a way to make a difference in the lives of dogs in my own community.

Your dog’s happiness is my number one priority! Understanding the science behind animal behaviour, and the influence of genetics and environmental factors on behaviour, allow me to help you and your dog reach your behaviour & training goals.

Davidson

Executive Assistant

Davidson is a mixed breed from a local rescue, who I adopted when he was only a year old and I was only in my second year of University. He has a zest for life and is always up for an adventure! His favourite things are chasing rocks at the beach, off leash walks, and any human snacks. Davidson has been my constant sidekick through life’s ups and downs, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him.

Summit

Assistant Trainer

Summit is a beautiful, happy go lucky, black labrador retreiver. She loves pillows, swimming, agility, and cuddling on my lap. Summit is my constant shadow and loves everyone she meets. If you allow, she will happily greet you with hugs and kisses.

Onyx

Bookkeeper

Onyx is a sweet and sensitive black labrador retreiver. She is a full sister to Summit from a different litter. Onyx loves fetch, and would fetch all day long if you kept throwing! She is an incredible retreiver and has a great work ethic in the field. In the house Onyx is very quiet and laid back. She enjoys agility, playing with her sisters, giving kisses, and most of all her balls.

Rio

Trainee

Rio is a loving yellow labrador retreiver who has been in the family since the day she was born, as Summit is Rio’s Mom. Much like her Aunt Onyx, Rio is a fetch and swimming addict. She is also very sensitive and snuggly, and lays in my lap any chance she gets. Rio has a very expressive face, and adores her “sisters” Summit and Onyx.
